For Those Who Scored Higher on Test Day

I am scoring low 2200s right now and I have been aiming for 2300 on this SAT.

I am making 2 math errors, 2 writing errors and getting about -7 on CR on the math few tests I've written.

So, I have a question for you guys. If you scored higher on test day what did you do in the last week before the test and what did you do during and before the test (mentally, physically, etc.).

I am hoping for a miracle so that my 2 math errors (usually do to silly errors) go away and I don't make more than 2 W errors (that deduction hurts once you hit -3 ... = -4), and I get mid 700s in CR (go to a -5 or something from -7). That way I can get my 2300 that I want to badly.

So, post away. Post what you were getting on tests leading up to the SAT and what you got on the real thing if you scored higher. Post what you did to prepare and if you went into the test looking for that 'magical' number or just 'went with the flow'.

Me too.

I’m like in a rut. I constantly score -0 Math (only good part).

No matter how much I try, I score -3 CR and -4 Writing.

Its like STUCK T______T

^ That’s pretty good, except for the Writing.

-3 on CR is awsome… Bump it up 1 point and you get an 800.
and uh… Writing is generally easy to fix

Well, anyone actually score higher on test day? What did you guys do?

Also, any suggestions on what I should do to try to improve from low 2200s to 2300? The CR mistakes I’m making right now are the ones that result in me kicking myself and thinking “Wow, I can’t believe I didn’t stick with my first choice!/I had proof for that answer why didn’t I pick it?/Wow, it makes perfect sense, why didn’t I see that when I read it?”

I’m understanding all the questions but I’m just somehow shooting myself in the foot by not reading ALL the choices and picking the one that sticks out or just not going with the answer that I have some proof of for some reason. On the last test I wrote (-7), after reviewing I felt like I had given away 3-4 questions because of just stupidity…So, I feel like I have the potential for -2 or so, but I’m just killing my score myself…Anyone have this issue?

For Math, I need to get over 2 silly errors. Any tips?

For W, I need to get to the point where I’d be confident in saying that I could get -0 to -2…as of now I’m not comfortable saying that. What can I do in the next couple days to give myself the best shot at -0 to -2?

i get around -3 to -5 on CR, -2 to -5 Math and like -7 writing… gahhhhh wth

When approaching the SAT I Reasoning exam, individuals should remain calm and impassive[/url”>http://s.bebo.com/app-image/7928503239/5411656627/PROFILE/i.quizzaz.com/img/q/u/08/04/29/yagami_light.jpg]impassive throughout the entire test. By not overreacting to any exam questions and causing a self-induced panic, individuals are able to concentrate more. I approach all exams with this kind of mentality, and for the SAT I, it usually yields me about a 2350+ every time.

lol, viggyram, you are my twin-i am almost in the same boat. Except, for some reason my last test was

-3 MATH
-2 CR
and like -1 Writing

Bump up your math and you got 2400 lol.

I usually get perfect math, -1 in writing, and anywhere between -1 to -6 in CR. I can’t seem to perfect my CR.

ViggyRam-Same situation.aargh!

Lol kk415kk, we’ve met before in another forum (think not related to SATs lol)
