Who did you turn to for scoring well on the New SAT? Barron's? Princeton Review? Kaplan? Something else? I'm a little disappointed by PR's course. After scoring over 2000 on practice tests, I found that I only could pass with an 1840 on the real SAT. I'm going to be purchasing a new book today, and I'd like to know which one seems to have helped the most students.

If you could, please post the following:
- The test prep program you used
- What score you were getting on practice tests
- What score you got the real SATs
- Whether or not you'd recommend the test prep program you used.

Any and all help would be appreciate. Thanks.

i think that the recent round of test prepping companies for the new sat was complete crap because they had no idea what the test would be like aside from the psat. i know that my sat prep course actually ended up hurting my score because (kaplan) of some of the strategies they told us to do on different problems that didn't apply to the actual sat. they even had the format of the test wrong.

I used a Princeton Review Test Prep course, which was a class for about 6 weeks (Two classes each week: Saturday for taking a practice and Sunday for going over and learning "new" concepts).

On the practice tests, I kept getting like 2100s or close to that cause I can't read (as in low CR scores).

On the actual 3/12 test, I got a 2280 (690, 790, 800), so I was kinda surprised and happy.

I liked my PR class, in part because the teacher was a math teacher that I knew so it worked out pretty well...

I also took a Princeton Review prep course and never broke 2100 on any of my practice tests. I ended up getting a 2210 on the real SAT...I don't know if that was because of the course or not, though.
