for uci computer engineering do i need to take a science sat 2?

i have french: 760 and math2c: 720. do i still have to take physics sat2? if so, do i need above 700?

b u m p

b u m p

i need to know this in order to decide if i take dec sat2?

i doubt you need a specific SAT II, but if your stronger in physics then french then i would say take it in dec.

i will DEFINATELY score under 760 on physics if i take it. i would probably score in the low 600 range. should i still take it???

According to the UC admission information, engineering school applicants are strongly encouraged to take SAT II math 2, and a science subject which is similar to his major. Even though you score for Physics may be lower than French score, you better take it. If you try your best, you may do well.

Good thing is that even though your score on Physics is not so good, you don't have to worry about the admission to UCI. Your French score (actually highest scores in two different areas) will be used for the admission to UCI. After you are admitted to UCI and when your application is reviewed for the admission to the Engineering school, your Physics score will be looked at. Even with a bad Physics score, you may be admitted as an undeclared student. That's my understanding.

thank u VERY MUCH!!!!

"Even with a bad Physics score, you may be admitted as an undeclared student. That's my understanding."

But I am apply under computer engineering and not undeclared. so a low 600 would be sufficient?

actually i just scored a 530 on a practice test. should i even bother taking the sat2 test in december?

I got in as a Computer Engineer with a 620 in physics, so don't worry about it.
