Does anyone know why the classes are already getting all filled up? I'm a poli sci major and most of the classes are already full and my "pass time" isn't even until 9/3. Thats almost 4 months away and I'm pretty darn sure all the classes will be full by then. If they are, Idk what else I would/should be taking seeing as how I already have all the lower-division crap done. Am I missing something here?

I’m a student at UCSB and I can tell you your pass time is ungodly awful. For comparison, I have 93 units and my pass time was 5/17. All of the freshman have theirs during summer orientation. So you are behind them. Hopefully the school does the same thing for transfers as they do for freshman, which is set aside a certain number of spots in classes that only appear during your pass time. Of not, enjoy crashing every class you want.

ugh, thats so irritating. I thought I was just being paranoid but now I’m just ****ed off. I don’t understand why they would put it behind even the freshman, thats bull. My first pass time says N/A, does that mean anything significant? I just tried calling them right now but I guess I’m not in office hours so I’ll have to try again later.

Do any other transfers have this problem?

Hmm, I didn’t know they were already registering for classes in the fall. Gee, that sucks. There’s like one class for most of the courses in my major and then they’re missing some classes that I need. Guess I should call them.

Wait, why do they have our pass time so late?

yeah same here, theres not very many classes for my major either. They’re missing A LOT! but I think thats just because they are all offered in different quarters.

I have no idea why its so late, i tried calling this morning but it was closed. I had to go to work and now that I’m back, its closed again :(

Yeah, classes for majors are offered on different quarters. Look at the UCSB general catalog for this year for a rough sketch of when they’ll be offered this year
