For us EDers, I'll save you the time and give you my withdrawal notice

Hey guys,

For those of us accepted under ED agreements, we all have to withdraw other applications to other schools. Here's my letter; you're free to use, modify, and distribute it as you please.

I'm giving you this because I hope it will save you 5 minutes. w00t, go 5 extra minutes.

Dear Dr. Director,

RE: YOUR NAME's Application for Undergraduate Admissions

On DATE YOU SEND THEM APP, I applied to THEIR UNIVERSITY with knowledge that if ED SCHOOL accepted me, I would attend ED SCHOOL under an Early Decision Agreement. I was recently accepted to ED SCHOOL, and as such I am notifying you in writing that I no longer with to be a candidate for admission at OTHER UNIVERSITY.

Please ignore any remnant supplements as they continue to be sent to your office. I am sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused you, and in order to alleviate your filing process, have included my social security number, birth-date, and high school's information.

If you have any questions regarding the status of my withdrawn application, please call (YYY) YYY-YYYY.

Don't know if this is the one you're sending/have sent, but there's a typo. "I no longer with to be a candidate..." when it should be "wish."

do we have to send a letter.....or can we just send an e-mail?

"alleviate your filing process"
??
'aid' might be a better word.

Thanks for the two pointers... Changed in what I'm sending.
