Hello Badgers. I Am A 20 Year Old International Student From Ghana Studying At The University Of Wisconsin-oshkosh. I Am Thinking About Transferring To Madison, After My Junior Year (5 Year Plan). I Was Wondering If A 3.5 Gpa And Better Is Adequate Enough To Gain Admission To Uw-madison? Do Any Of You Know The Gpa Cutoff, Or Do Any Of You Have An Idea Of The Stats Of A Possible Transfer Student, Who Made It To Uw-madison. Please Let Me Know. Thank You.

3.5 should do it. You will like it much more.

Ghana = don't be surprised if they give you money on the way down. They're determined to make UW-Madison not resemble the state that it represents.

If you study at UW-Oshkosh (or any UW campus, for that matter), I think you're allowed to transfer to UW-Madison, provided you're in good standing - no academic probation or studd like that. A 3.5 in college: you have nothing to worry about.

3.5 is very good!

To transfer from the uni here to Madison you need a minimum 2.5 GPA. You're way above that.

The actual minimum is around 3.0

whoops... I must have been thinking of the guaranteed transfer program, which is 2.5 minimum.

The link you offered also mentions course rigor. So I suppose considering a 3.0 or 2.5 GPA alone would be misleading.
