Can anyone give me information about the Theater Program at Lincoln Center as my d was just accepted to Fordam for this program and I don't seem to be able to find any information posted here on CC. Also my d's interests are really musical theater, is there any way to make that work and is it advisable?

The theatre program at Fordham is drama based. Musical theatre is not a part of the official curriculum, but student groups do perform a musical now and then.

My daughter got waitlisted at Fordham but rejected from the theater program. In the unlikely event she got into Fordham, does anyone know if she can reaudition and what her chances might be?

Sorry to hear that. But my guess would be in terms of reaudition that it would be like other schools: she would go in another program and then reaudition next year with everyone else. Being in the school doesn't usually help in any program unless there's some sort of inhouse recommendation, but it usually just comes down to the audition as almost everywhere else. But call the school and ask maybe there's some other possibility

If I'm not mistaken, if your D was a Fordham student she could still audition for school productions. If she were cast, the familiarity with the faculty might help her when auditioning for the theatre program next school year. Couldn't she also take some theatre classes this first year? Good luck.

Shoe66 - Thanks for the info. I will call the school next week and find out for sure. However, she got into Pace University's BFA acting program and is very happy about that. I think she should go with the sure thing.
