Does anyone know if all of the Fordham acceptances have been announced? Since we have four kids listed in our compiled list, and Fordham only accepts around 15, and since not everyone is a member of this forum (although they should be), is it safe to assume that all of the invitations to attend have been mailed out?

I would not assume anything. It is hard to know if they send out acceptances on a rolling basis or at one time. I know of two students who have not heard back yet about Fordham for theater either. In other words, don’t jump to a conclusion unless someone who is directly involved at Fordham indicates how the notifications go out.

Some schools send notifications (acceptances AND rejections) on a rolling basis. Some send acceptances first. Some tell everyone at ONE time (I prefer the latter!!).

I hope that it is all at once. Makes me feel better about my chances to get in. Fordham is my #1 and I would be In disbelief if I didn’t get in. GPA is 3.3 and sat was 1910. Hopefully those grades and scores plus all my ECs will get me in.

Coto,

First, it is NOT all at once. Some have ALREADY been accepted to Fordham for some time.

Second, this is the Theater Majors forum and the discussion is centered on those who AUDITIONED to be admitted for theater. I get the feeling you are not a theater applicant.

Here is the general Fordham forum on this site and you may wish to visit that, Coto1017:

Thank you, just itching to wrap this all up - as is everyone else out there.

my friend got his acceptance letter from them today in the mail. so they’ve been sent out!

My D got a post card today with an invitation to a scholars reception, but no letter. Kind of strange.

So today a big white envelope came from Fordham and I thought OH YES!!! I’M IN!! Because when I signed up for my audition I checked the box that said I did NOT want to be considered for regular admission if I didn’t make the theater program.

However, what I forgot is that in the moment before the audition I changed my mind and changed my answer to that question.

So it turns out I was actually accepted to Fordham, but not to the theater major. So, not much point in getting excited about it. Oh well, I’m all done now, and have decided on SMU, a school I’ve loved all along and have had as a bird-in-the-hand since an early-action acceptance last November. It’s been a long haul this year, all these auditions. And now, I’m really glad it’s over.

We live in the Dallas Fort Worth area and we love SMU - the campus is beautiful. I think that you have a wonderful place to go to next year. Just get prepared for the heat that we have in summer - and which will last until November! And buy lots of red T-shirts!

Thanks, 2dogs1cat. I think it’s going to be an exciting four years. Good luck to you too!

My son just got his acceptance today. They sent him an email saying his acceptance packet was on the way.

Wait listed at Fordham.
