Fordham basketball in The New Yorker

<p>For those of you who have not seen it yet, some interesting Fordham anecdotes in the May 11th New Yorker article, How David Beats Goliath (Annals</a> of Innovation: How David Beats Goliath: Reporting & Essays: The New Yorker).</p>

<p>The article includes some interesting anecdotes and take-aways from the 1971 basketball game between the Fordham Rams and the University of Massachusetts Minutemen, the Rams being coached by Digger Phelps, and the Minutemen by Jack Leamen. Players on each team at the time included Charlie Yelverton, and some other fellows by the names of "Sullivan, Mainor, Charles, [and] Zambetti" (Rams), and Julius "Dr. J" Erving, and Rick Pitino for the Minutemen.</p>
