For all those who have been accepted, where are you from?

i received my acceptance on the fordham portal.
im from miami

From New Jersey.

No decision letter in the mail for DS today either. :(

I got my packet today and a letter earlier this week. I see information about CSS/FAFSA, but I see absolutely nothing about any merit aid. :l

And has anyone else received their PIN for the Online Financial Aid System?

I was wondering about the PIN myself. Do we get this with the packet?
We have also applied for “tuition exchange” (exchange program for dependents of employees from other colleges) which covers full tuition. Not sure when we will find out about that.

It isn’t in my packet. I think they might want us to fill out the FAFSA before we get the PIN; I’ve done the CSS but not FAFSA.

Got my folder today and I’ve been accepted but I was wondering about scholarship information… There was no mention of any merit scholarships in my packet which I was a little surprised about… Here are my stats:

2110 SAT: 700 M, 740 CR, 670 W
4.24 GPA W not sure UW, ranked 3/274
8 AP classes in HS career
Good ECs: VP of NHS, VP drama club, Captain of Varsity Soccer and Track, longtime girl scout
My essay was good (I think)
I’m a National Merit Semifinalist and AP Scholar with Honor
White Female from MA

But anyways I’m just wondering if this means I’m not offered any merit scholarships? Or does that info come later?

I think it comes in February, OnceUponATime. My neighbor whose son was admitted EA last year said that was the case. You have great stats, as does my daughter, and I’m hoping for merit money for her, as well.

Ok thanks, that’s good to know!

I got the early notification of my acceptance in November. Haven’t gotten my packet yet, but then again the mail takes forever here in FL!

How do I see whether I got in or not? I haven’t received an e-mail and didn’t get anything in the mail. I have access to the online application status but it doesn’t say anything either.

GOT THE SEMIFINALIST SCHOLARSHIP!
looks like i’m going to be wearing maroon next year :D

Decision: Accepted

GPA: 4.0, at a non-competitive but fairly difficult public high school
ACT: 33

AP Exams:

World History- 5
U.S. History- 5
English Language- 5
Physics B- 3
Calculus AB- 5

Honors:
Honor Thespian Scholar
National Merit Scholarship Semifinalist
English Achievement Award (Highest marks)
National Honor Society
AP Scholar with Honor

Activities:
Theater (Historian for my high school)

International Thespian Society Troupe 3006 Vice President, founding member

A lot of choral/solo vocal performance, including performances at Carnegie Hall, All County/State

Model U.N. Delegates

National Honor Society

A lot of community service activities, many of which are part of the aforementioned activities (Tutor, blood drive organization committee, etc.)

I was hoping for the NMS scholarship, but I got the Dean’s instead. Is it because my test scores were too low and my school doesn’t rank? I’m not sure what they were looking for. Is there any way to appeal to the school, or can I be reconsidered in the Spring? Fordham was my first choice, but it won’t be affordable with the Dean’s.

I don’t think I got any merit. They let people know about the Presidential Scholarship in February (which goes to about 20 people per year) and it looks like the Dean’s and NMS would be sent with the admissions packet.

Oh well, I’ll see how need-based is. Hope to see some of you at the Admitted Students Day in February!

Just wondering, Did everyone get an email before getting the official admission packet in the mail??

I didn’t get an e-mail, but I got an early notification through snail mail earlier this week.

Okay I am getting really worried now because I haven’t heard back at all yet! I hope I get my letter soon… I really need this after getting rejected from Northwestern!

Haven’t gotten anything in the mail or online either… I’d love to see what happens considering I just got deferred from Case… BLAH.
