Fordham EA Class of 2020 Discussion Thread

Deferred!

I also just got off of the phone with the admissions office to ask them why I received no merit money. They said that it is possible that only the accepted students who applied ED got their money already. EA still has until Feb. 1 to find out if they get any scholarship money from the school/financial aid. Hope this clears things up for everyone

Accepted into gabelli at rose hill! Act 31 and 98 gpa…anyone know about scholarships and where they would be posted?

@Fiona1997 I think you have some time to add a few schools for regular decision that are safeties. That said, crossing my fingers that you get into and can swing the perfect place for you!!

I was accepted to Rose Hill, but I’m a little upset that I didn’t receive any merit aid.
2120 SAT,4.0 GPA, salutatorian, strong ECs & letters of rec, lots of leadership positions
I just feel kind of cheated by this system … very frustrating :frowning: oh well …

Deferred from Fordham College at Rose Hill. I really wanted to get in, but I’ll take it over a rejection

Accepted with an 1830 superscore and 4.42 GPA. I believe my EC’s played a huge part in my acceptance as I work 27 hours a week AND play 3 varsity sports. However, I did not receive any form of scholarship yet. I looked at the FAQ’s page and it said that all scholarship awards and grants will be in the financial aide packet, which we will receive by January 31st. Congrats to all! If you were deferred, I know how you feel… I got rejected from my top ED school!

.

Is it safe to assume that if D got deferred and even if she did get in RD that there would be no $$? Because if that’s the case then we are done. I am still really surprised!!

Accepted! Rose Hill, ACT 30 GPA 3.8 good EC but no money yet so don’t think I’ll be attending

Hey at least most of you guys got decisions whether it be good or bad. I didn’t even get an email notification and when I check my portal nothing has changed. Anyone else in the same boat?

Accepted to Lincoln Center! I received the likely letter but it’s nice to have it be official
ACT 31, UW GPA 3.96, 7 APs
I received no merit aid yet which sucks

everyone who got merit aid, were you EA or ED?

Sorry I did not post my stats!!

Accepted Gabelli Rose Hill: 29 ACT, 3.75 GPA, Tons of ECs (President of two clubs, Founder of one, etc)

Accepted to Rose Hill!!
2000 SAT and UW GPA 96, my sister also got accepted 1880 SAT and GPA 95, congrats to all!! And if you were deferred, don’t lose hope, I got deferred from Georgetown so I know how it feels. Don’t lose hope!!

Accepted at Lincoln Center! 34 ACT and 3.8 UW GPA but no news on scholarships/financial aid yet :frowning:

I was deferred with a 34 on the ACT and a 3.6 unweighted GPA…HOW?

Does any one know where the financial aid info is? I can’t find it any where. Is it coming later when we do the FASFA?

Accepted at Lincoln Center EA!!! 4.1 WGPA, 3.8 UWGPA, 31 ACT, very strong ECs, exceptional essays (I wrote a slam poem for one of them). Very happy, but umich is my top choice! A few more days left to hear from them!

I was EA and got 15K, Lincoln Center, 2120 SAT, top 5% of class, average e.c. and gpa for reference. Pretty disappointing they don’t seem to have a lot of options for merit aid, seems people either got a full ride or the 15K scholarship. @ParksAndWrecked

@janecarol I got in Lincoln Center and applied to Umich EA as well! Decisions are supposed to come out tomorrow and I’m so nervous for them
