Fordham EA Class of 2020 Discussion Thread

@mscl516 @3mamagirls I don’t have it on my portal either.
My school allows us to bring laptops to classes- don’t know if this is a good thing or a bad thing because I’ve been so anxious of checking the email in classes… I feel exhausted…

Just got a letter in the mail today from Fordham about needing a business/farm supplement…kind of confused since I’ve never heard of it. Does this even impact my decision?

@ctnerd123 I had to fill one of those out a few weeks ago. I do not believe it will impact your decision as they didn’t request it from me until after I was already accepted. I think they just need it in order to determine how much aid you will receive.

Yes, it’s a financial aid thing - has nothing to do with your acceptance.

I got in ED to my first choice on Thursday and unless the FA doesn’t work out there I probably won’t end up attending Fordham (if I were to be accepted). Would it be redundant to send in the business supplement now or should I do it anyways just in case my FA doesn’t work out elsewhere?

Does anyone have an idea of decision date? I know they say by Dec. 20, but other colleges typically release their decisions before the posted date. For example, U of Michigan says by Dec 24, but they typically release decisions the Friday before the 24th (this year that would be 18).

@woah16 I believe we should be hearing back sometime early this week, since they sent an email reminding us about our application access last week. If you look at past EA threads, it looks like decisions tend to come out the 15th/16th. I’m thinking Monday-Wednesday of this week.

@ctnerd123 Did you get, or are you expecting, the aid/award package? I wouldn’t think you have to rush for the supplement. At the most it might delay the aid package from Fordham which is not promised until Feb right? I can’t keep everything straight. Congrats on getting into your ED school.

@CAMidwestMom Thanks! I’m supposed to be getting all financial stuff (which would include any FA/scholarships/etc.) by Tuesday, but tuition is upwards of 62k and I’m not expecting a super huge aid package from them. I want to believe that in the end I’ll still end up going, but it’s better to be safe then sorry.

If the supplement isn’t pertinent to my decision, I guess I should probably wait until after I get my aid package to see if I’ll need to send it.

Well Tuesday is only a couple days away so delaying by a few days cannot possibly be a big deal at this point. Is that extra info going to be hard to pull together? Perhaps your parents can at least be ready to get working on it just in case? Weird the other school didn’t ask for it. Good luck!

Do we think decisions will come out tomorrow?

@senior2016x yeah I guess… I’m not sure.

last year decisions were put out on the 14th i believe so hopefully! i’ve checked the application status website so many times this weekend it’s embarrassing. good luck guys!!!

Does anyone have the “mid-term grades” item on their portal? I don’t have it but I saw someone from last year’s thread talked about it.

at what time do you think the decisions would be posted ? I read somewhere on this thread that it was at 3pm but is that true ?

@rgarcia23 just guessing. It’s not official. Last year the the first post was posted on Dec.15 at 3:24 pm.

Do they send an email or is it just on the app tracker?

@jillian17 they will send you a notification email when the decisions are out and you get into your portal to see the decision.

I hope soon this wait is killing me !

@rgarcia23 I know!! I can’t wait…
