Fordham Fall 2018 transfer

I just got an email from someone from admissions that states:
The Committee on Admission has met regarding your fall 2018 transfer application to the Gabelli School of Business at Lincoln Center. There are specific criteria for admission to this program. Our initial evaluation leads us to believe you would be a stronger candidate for admission to another college at Fordham.

I’m somewhat confused about where I stand in the Admissions process so I’m going to contact them very soon. Has anyone gotten an email of something similar to this or can “interpret” this for me? Thx!

@SammyDKMV when was all of your documents complete / whatbwere your grades

hey guys! got accepted to fordham, not sure of what financial package they’ll be offering yet. does anyone know how accommodating the school is to commuters? I’d have about an 1:30 commute there, and from my understanding a decent amount of people commute to Rose Hill. Lmk what you know!

Has anyone received financial aid yet?

@waveskmt They liked my application it was just that I hadn’t taken certain business classes at my current university that would make me more competitive for their Global Business program at the Lincoln Center. After, I decided to change my college selection to the Rose Hill campus, the school that I originally planned to study at if I did get accepted, and I received my acceptance 2 days afterwards. So it was kind of like a heads up from the admissions committee to tell me that “Hey, we think you’d be a better fit at another college/program at our school.” Which I think was really considerate, I’ve never heard of universities doing so before, but this probably isn’t as unheard of as I probably first thought, haha. Now, instead of just studying Gloabl Marketing with Consumer Insight at the Lincoln Center, I now have the choice to expand on this major at the Rose Hill Campus and study Business Administration with a primary concentration on Global Business AND a second concentration on Marketing, which I’m definitely happier with  I’ll post my stats below as well.

Is it pretty hard to get into Lincoln center?

@iwslontsat I’m not too sure, depends on what you’d like to study. In my case it was just that I hadn’t taken certain business courses at my university during my freshmen year that put me at a disadvantage, otherwise I think I would’ve gotten in. However, I’ve also heard they have a very competitive business program there, don’t doubt yourself though, believe in your abilities and your application, and wait for the decision, I’m sure you’ll make it

Got admitted to Gabelli School of Business at Lincoln Center this Friday!

Has anybody heard back yet regarding financial aid? I read something which gave me the impression that the awards would come out today, yet there was nothing on my account. I will probably be calling within the next few days to inquire, but I was wondering if anyone had heard anything yet!

No financial aid package for me yet. On my CSS profile it says packages should have started to roll out yesterday.

I got accepted as a transfer student in rose hill! I’m pretty sure you will get accepted as you seem to have similar grades than me. Are you looking to live inside campus as well?

It would be a good idea to form a facebook group chat for all the new transfer students??!!

@geminis what were your grades again? / how many credits have you had so far

Also how long ago was your application complete?

I submitted my application during the middle of March and received the letter of acceptance the 31st. My grades were around the 3.8.

I just got a call from financial aid asking for more documents so I think they’re starting to roll out decisions soon

I finished mine 3 weeks ago hopefully I hear back this week right?

do the financial aid packages come to our email, portal, or house

Hey guys, I was accepted to Gabelli at Lincoln Center last week but I also was just informed to be accepted at Colgate Unveristy. What do you guys think Colgate Vs Fordham for someone who are looking into finance/consulting industry afterwards?
