If that’s where your heart was then that is the right choice! Congrats and best of luck! :)

overzealous christian? I’ve met at most one or two of those at fordham

I would guess that Cocoa2014 picked Vassar, too.

The terminology “overzealous christian” is offensive to me. I am sorry. Nobody should be embarrassed to practice their faith. Some people are quiet and very zealous in their faith, they just don’t proselytyze or talk about it. Fordham is a Jesuit, Catholic, Christian University. Faith is a gift from God.

For non-christians at Fordham, I would imagine at times its challenging. But it is in the final analysis a choice they made to attend Fordham and nobody at Fordham should be asked to shelve their faith just to accomodate non-christians or agnostics. Or even Christians who are not Catholic.

For that matter, for Catholics who are less into their faith, for whatever reason, I would apply the same rule and expectation. We can all be tolerant of each other’s views and faith experience, but I don’t think using terminology like “overzealous christians” is helpful, even if it was only meant in jest or non confrontational.

I wouldn’t go to a Lutheran, Methodist, Baptist, Jewish or Mormon University and call them “overzealous.”
