Fordham, alma mater of Vince Lombardi and other veterans of the NFL many years ago, is now proud to be back in the NFL, with the 5th round draft choice, number 155 overall, of John Skelton, Fordham's record setting quarterback, by the Phoenix Cardinals. Its a great fit, as Curt Warner of the Cards is retiring.

John performed almost flawlessing in the all important NFL tryout combine and leapfrogged over other highly rated quarterbacks.

Congratulations to John Skelton, who is graduating in May, to Fordham and to the Cardinals!

Go Rams!

did he receive his gymnastic training with the baseball player who flipped over the catcher?

haha good one helix.

And yeah John Skelton was very talented from what I heard of and had excellent stats. Fordham!!

Oh, I loved that baseball play! We have so many friends going to Fordham next year, and they will be very sorry to have missed John Skelton!

John Skelton won’t be a stranger to Fordham. Trust me. His brother is a Junior at Fordham and plays on the football team. I have a feeling the Skelton family will be Fordham fans for a lifetime and give back to Fordham in many ways, helping to promote Fordham values and academics. And if John makes it big in the NFL, he will become a household name and I am certain the television crews will be reminding everyone where he came from, since its a compelling story. (Sometimes the fifth rounders have a better success rate in the NFL than the first rounders…and sometimes the ballyhooed first round quarterbacks don’t turn out as planned…so stay tuned. John has very solid skills and a great work ethic and he isn’t a head case…)

Go Rams!
