I got a call yesterday from UPS telling me that they have something for me from Fordham University. They didn't specify whether it was a small or big envelope. I've noticed a few people on this forum getting their acceptances recently. I don't live in the US so I guess the fact that it just arrived means it could have been sent the same time as others. I've also noticed that some people have gotten a letter about financial aid, so it could be about that too.

I was just wondering, does anyone know if Fordham has sent out any rejection letters yet?

Last year, my son received a letter from Fordham the first week of March indicating that they were planning to admit him to the Theatre program. The full admission information came on the date that admission decisions are released including financial aid. This is similar to “the likely letter” that some Ivy League schools send out. The reason, as explained to my son, is to help with planning - visiting schools, sorting through info, etc.

JME1992, that sounds like a good sign. My daughter got a large envelope from Fordham here in the US a few days ago. From lurking on the Fordham page of CC, I’ve surmised that only Theater kids have been informed (or “Theatre”, as they spell it*), and only acceptances have been sent out so far.

JME1992 I think that like when you asked earlier I surmised that they might send an acceptance letter FedEx…I think it is a positive sign that you got a envelope UPS. The timing would be right in line with those of us that received an acceptance in the states a few days ago.

I’ve got my fingers crossed for you. Good luck.

If I have not received a notice yet, should I be expecting a rejection? I didn’t get sent to a second panel, so I have a feeling an acceptance won’t be coming my way. I was asked for a third monologue though, and each of my contemporary monologues were worked on a lot.

AthenaL-- I wouldn’t give up all hope. If they worked with you and asked to see a third, then they were definitely considering you. They wouldn’t waste time with someone they weren’t at least interested in.
