Fordham or Bentley Business

Hey Guys. Dont know which school is better. I like the schools equally but choose. advice

Bentley what’s that? Go with Fordham

Bentley has a higher ranked business program than does Fordham, but Fordham is a higher ranked university overall, and is better known. So I’d consider the rankings game a tie.

Think about the location, and where you might want to work when you graduate. If you want to work in NYC, you’d benefit from going to Fordham. If you prefer to work in New England, then Bentley could be a somewhat better choice.

But honestly, I don’t think you can really go wrong with either choice. The one thing I’d ad is that if you suspect that you might change your major from business to something else, you need to pick Fordham, because Bentley is purely a business school.

You may also want to think about the money. Which one offered you the best aid package?

If you are in it for Business go to Bentley…

Why Bentley? I’ll tell you why he shouldn’t go to Bentley. First off, Fordham is superior in terms of prestige and education. It’s location is prime especially if he wants to go into finance. Wallstreet is a train ride away thus making easier network/connections. Fordham has a larger alumni base and is internationally recognized. Bentley has?..an ok ranking for business??

Bentley and Fordham are different in feel and atmosphere. Bentley has the feel of an LAC. with quite a lot of clean, green space. Classes are small, and your professors will certainly know you by name; if you do well, they will recommend you for jobs. Bentley also has a significant number of professors with connections in the middle east and Asia, so if you want to find a job in one of those places, going to Bentley will suit you well.

Yeah because at Fordham, no one will ever learn your name or have any international connections. I love it when people here act like connections are a zero sum game or a school bought the rights to small classes or grade deflation.
I’d say the argument one should be making for Bentley would be its superior “Business” facilities but Fordham can supplement those nicely with internships. Frankly, I’m not a fan of Business but my best friend made this exact choice and chose Fordham, he likes taking other classes.

Go with Fordham

For what it’s worth Business Week (for undergrad business) ranks Bentley 33rd, Fordham 41st. Certainly not a big difference, but the idea that Fordham is MUCH better doesn’t hold up. Bentley ranks 13th for internships, Fordham 17th.
