Fordham or Binghamton for Biology?

Hey all! So I've come down to Fordham or Binghamton between Biology and by extension possibly pre-med. Is there a significant difference between the two for biology and how is the community in Fordham? After some scholarships and unsub loans the cost of Fordham goes down to 40k to Binghamton's 15k? Fordham is quite close to me and the city but does that hurt the possibility of student togetherness or student spirit? Binghamton's residing town isn't exactly close and isn't a big town which could force me to bond with those kids more?
Again though, is the education and/or experience a big enough difference between the two to justify going to Fordham over Binghamton?
Thanks!

I absolutely love Fordham but for that price differential ($100,000 over the four years) I’d probably go to Binghamton (unless money is absolutely not a consideration for you family). especially if you are looking at going to med school afterwards.

Cost is not an issue at all but saving does help.
If med school weren’t to happen, would you have chosen Binghamton or Fordham?

My H & I are Binghamton alums with a S who will graduate Fordham on May 17.

Your post isn’t totally clear to me. It seems that you will be taking out the unsubsidized Stafford loan of $5500 to attend Fordham. Will you also be taking the loan to go to Binghamton? And will you be dorming at both?

If you are comparing the two schools and you are dorming at and taking the Stafford loan at both so basically it will cost you the same and your parents can afford to pay the difference, then I recommend Fordham for a nicer college experience. But if you can go to Binghamton without loans then do it and save your money for med or grad school. Even if you don’t end up at med or grad school I recommend starting your life without debt if you can at all help it. Good luck!
