I want to be a fashion editor at a magazine OR a fashion journalist. I am choosing between Fordham University and Pace University. I want to be in NYC, so I’d go to the Lincoln Center campus at Fordham or the NYC campus at Pace. If I went to Fordham, I’d major in communications and minor in fashion studies. If I went to Pace, I’d major in English language and literature and minor in journalism. Fordham is ranked better but it seems like people like Pace a little bit more… I can only find reviews on the Rose Hill campus at Fordham, not Lincoln Center. Which college will not only prepare me to be a fashion editor/journalist, but also give me a good college experience in New York City?
I’d go with Fordham.
but were you admitted to both? How come you’re choosing in June, didn’t you deposit on May 1st?
Or are you a rising senior working with hypotheticals?
I’ve heard more about Fordham, I think Pace is good, but isn’t as popular or selective. I visited the Fordham LC campus, it’s definitely an amazing NYC experience to a tourist! The only thing is, the students seemed a little snobby. (But, I’m from New Jersey, so unfortunately I’m used to this).
Given the choice, I’d definitely go with Fordham.

I am a freshman in high school. I know it may seem to be a little early to start looking at colleges, but my school stresses that I start looking at schools and preparing for the future. I really want to travel and live by the beach, so now I have my heart set on Pepperdine University. Also, they have a journalism major, which is exactly what I want. I have had straight A’s all the way up to 8th grade, where I got my first B. Now being a freshman, I have all A’s and a B. My current high school GPA is about 3.75. I got an advanced score on both sections of the Algebra Keystones AND the PSSA’s (Pennsylvania’s state test),

Wait til you’re older to decide. And ask your parents how much they’ll pay. They may not be willing to pay for either school.
I actually visited both this summer. Fordham is definitely a stronger school academically, but I hated it. I visited Rose Hill, though, so my opinion is irrelevant.
Pace is bigger than Fordham, which you might like. Fordham in Lincoln Center is high school sized, which was a major problem for me.
Fordham doesn’t have Greek life, for better or for worse. I believe Pace does. If you’re interested in Greek life that might be a deciding factor.
Fordham also does self-designed majors very well. Which would definitely be helpful for you, since there is obviously no major for fashion journalism. (Although they might just tell you to do the major and minor you mentioned.) NYU would also be a good fit if self-designed majors interest you.
There’s way too many factors here to make a decision I think. Pace doesn’t have a music program, but they’d probably give you more financial aid. I have no idea if either of these things are important to you though. I would visit both, and if you like both, apply to both. You’ll be fine
