My D just had her Fordham acting audition in NYC. Only her second audition, so this is very new. Great experience, kind and supportive staff and students. She was well prepared and felt really good about her monolouges. She got laughs and a words of praise, but was NOT asked to go into another room to perform them again. She did notice some kids were asked to move to a second room to perform again for different auditors. Is this a bad sign? We are trying to stay positive because this is her first choice. Has anyone been accepted to Fordham acting without being asked to perform their monolouges for additional staff? Worried in NJ
Wish I could help here…my daughter auditioned for them at LA Unifieds and did not get admitted. There was only one room for everyone so not sure what that means. Try not to read too much into these auditions. I know that’s easier said than done. You have to trust the process and know that your daughter will end up in the program that she was meant for Hang in there. It will be over soon.
Thanks bisouu. Excellent advice. It’s done and there is no use fretting. What will be, will be. Now I just need to keep reminding myself
My S has his audition there in 2 wks , will let u know
Thought I’d follow up here should anyone have similar questions regarding moving to 2nd rooms to perform for additional auditors at Fordham. Ultimately, My D did not get accepted to Fordham. I do think moving on to the second room is a good sign you are being considered. But all worked out! She is going to a wonderful school; one that is the perfect fit. It really does shake out as it should.
