As I understand it, a resident student does have housing. If there is any doubt in your mind, call admissions to clarify.
The housing lottery at RH for current students has not taken place yet (it should be soon) so I’m guessing that has to happen before transfer students are given rooms.

Happy is right about the resident student having housing. However, the lottery system has started and as far as I know (which is pretty far because my girlfriend goes to fordham) current students pick their rooms next week. So hopefully we’ll find out by the end of April.

Does anyone know how soon we will be getting our official letter in the mail?

are you guys all RH? I wonder if LC is harder… thats where i applied to

Well I’m RH but I can’t speak for the rest of these guys. I’m not sure whether Lincoln Center is harder to get into than Rose Hill as transfer. Maybe you can try looking it up.

I’m also RH. To my knowledge LC just has a slightly different offering of classes and majors, plus I think most of the graduate students go there too.

Any idea on Transfer statistics? How many transfer admitted and how many actually attend in the fall?

Also anyone interested in a Facebook group?

im pretty sure transfer admissions is 50% accepted

Lefthanded, I am not really sure on transfer student admission statistics but you probably could find them somewhere online.

Also a Facebook group sounds good to me. Let me know if you start one.

I want to hear back!! these two weeks are going to feel like forever!!!
Jpozz and lefthanded… when u got the email what did it say? congratulations, you’ve been admitted?
i just really hope i get in and my sats dont hurt me…

Srivera, My email said “I am pleased to share with you that you have been admitted to Fordham College at Rose Hill as a resident student for the Fall 2011 semester. Congratulations!”

What is your college GPA?

my gpa is a 4.0, sats: 1740

Dear Student,

I am writing to inform you about the status of your application to Fordham University. I am pleased to share with you that you have been admitted to the Gabelli School of Business as a resident student for the Fall 2011 semester. Congratulations! For information about your housing offer, you may contact the Office of Residential Life at…

That is what mine said. Word for word. I am excited about getting in and consider fordham to be one of my top schools. Is Fordham your top choice? Only school you applied to?

fordham and nyu are my top choices

i want to hear the decision!! if i applied on april first when do u guys think i will here?

Hey guys! I applied to Fordham in Feburary and I’m wondering why I have not yet received any notification about my acceptance…Is anyone else in a similar situation? Also, I realized some people have said that they received fordham portals to check the status of your application? I did not get any information about that…

@allisone — u should maybe call monday because u should have definitely found out by now. maybe they are missing something from ur application. alot of people on here applied in feb and even before that and found out

Thanks for the info…I definitely will call admissions tomorrow then, I’m kind of getting anxious because I never recieved any type of notification that they had my app…did anyone on here get any notification of anykind when they applied?

please let me no!

Turns out they LOST BOTH my high school and college transcripts. I know for a fact that Fordham recieved them because I sent my whole app. via certified mail AND got confirmation back in the mail from the postal office that someone at Fordham admissions signed for it saying they got it…This is so frustrating…

alisone- I don’t know but Fordham may only accept transcripts sent directly from your HS or college so if they were included in the application you mailed out, the transcripts may not be official enough. I would just check before you re-send them.
