ohh okayy well i was just wondering thanks nyyankees ---- and coto she still hasnt called me BACKK!!!

@srivera Yea she usually is not amazing at getting back to people right away. took me 2 days to just get a 1 line email from her. I would assume that since they have put you through all of this waiting and anxiety for their decision is that you’ll get in. Did the same thing to me.

@nyyankees That math class is probably what is making them hold your decision. Otherwise your application seems perfectly fine. My high school stats were similar except for a slightly higher SAT score and your gpa for this year will probably be somewhere around where mine will be. I think you’ll get accepted in the end. They just need to see that A in the math class

Does anyone know what percentage or total credits electives are at Fordham? Ive been looking on the website and still can’t find it. I ask because i think most of my credits from the school im at will transfer at elective credits

coto- u are great at comforting people on this thread! i placed the call, and im happy i did it… i just want her to let me no what the deal is… i dont want her to tell me they want me to see my midterm grades u no… i hope my 4.0 would be good enough you no. i just think it would be bitter sweet if i do get in to LC but no housing! i dont no what i would do then

@sandkmom
I had not even thought that but living off campus would really be a downer. I am planning on calling and will ask when I get a hold of them.

Also, for people worried about transfer credit. I did not receive any elective credits(yet). Of course when I get the chance to sit down with someone I will try to transfer as many credits as possible but so for they have acknowledged 40 credits out of about 55ish.

I sent Kara another email telling her that my other prospective schools insist i submit a deposit bearly may, and that although i plan on waiting for a reply from fordham, I will be risking getting my admission revoked by other schools by doing so.

I got what seems to be a mass email telling me kara stone will be on easter break from 4/20-4/27 and will respond to emails and calls when she returns. god damn it looks like we r all going to have to wait a week before we can speak to her.

no wonder why she hasnt responded to my phone call…

I dont begrudge her an Easter Vacation, but Fordham has not done a great job communicating with transfer applications.

i completely agree kayf… there admissions are horrible.

I think many schools, like NYU, wait till May to decide, after they here back from freshman as to who is accepting offers, in order to get a better idea of capacity, etc. I think Fordham is becoming more selective, so they may go to this method. That is no excuse for not communicating it to people.

To all of you who are wondering about contacting Kara -

I sent her an e-mail yesterday and she got back to me a few hours later. I asked her why I haven’t received my decision yet as the admissions office told me it was complete. She told me to just be patient. Looks like we can’t really do anything about getting our decisions earlier!

Sorry!

thats all she said? just be patient?

@trakke When did you apply and when was the last piece of info shipped?

Yep! I sent in my application on 2/24 and my CSS profile was sent ~a month later. I called and the admissions lady told me my application was complete, it just wasn’t sent out yet and transferred me to Kara. I then e-mailed her asking why I didn’t receive my application yet and she got back to me a few hours later saying to just be patient. The last piece of info that I received from her was on 4/20.

Clearly Fordham is not doing a rolling admission even though they said thats the case. All of my materials were in at the end of the first week of april and i have already been accepted. That just doesn’t make sense how all of you have not heard yet

coto is right… i dont no what the hell is up with them… i really think the issue is the whole LC limited housing stuff. i feel like they are waiting for the freshman class to submit the deposits before we are all going to no. yes it sucks because some of us have other deadlines by may 1st, but i think its the best way for them to see how many housing spots are available. there is no doubt in my mind that the applications have reached a decision… its the ones that were accepted to LC that are probably being held on hold until May 1st. what do u all think?

I would agree. There doesn’t seem to be such the large time frame for RH applications.

For those who have been accepted, has anyone received financial aid info? All I’ve received is the credit evaluation and housing/tuition deposit info.

nope ive only received the housing tuition deposit info. they didn’t include my credit evaluation in the packet so im going to call them on monday asking what the deal is with that

hopefully this week we should hear more decisions…

I got my acceptance package about 2 weeks ago and when I called the financial aid office they said that my financial aid information would be in the mail within in a few days…still haven’t gotten it…

fordham is so annoying… is the CSS profile a requirement to send in? i dont think it is… my mom was asking me about it
