Son accepted to Fordham. Financial aid package sent to us lists the TE scholarship on the package even though he has not been notified that he was selected. When I called Fordham today to confirm they said that it is not confirmed as they have not made any decisions on TE yet. They said it is listed on his package to show what overall cost would look like with it, but yet on the package there is nothing in fine print etc saying that. VERY misleading. On the package we received it looks as though it is his as it is calculated in his net direct charges. āoutside estimated tuition benefitā for 39k is listed under total scholarships and grants. Anyone else have any experience with this? Thank you!

Also accepted and applied for TE at Fordham. TE was not listed on my kids financial aid package so I suspect your kid did receive a TE award. Did you receive anything from them regarding TE? We received nothing from Fordham, not even the generic email saying when TE decisions will be made

When I investigated further with them they said he does not have it! They said on the cSS Profile I put down he was applying for TE so they included it. i think it was a mistake on their part!
What? Super strange, they didnāt list it for my kid and he also applied for TE. I havenāt heard a word, wonder if they didnāt process his app for some reasonā¦

My D applied for TE and hasnāt heard back. Although she secured regular admissions wi the scholarships and aid that total about $39k. But as others have noted Iād rather her get TE because that aid isnāt guaranteed all 4 years as TE is.
I also didnāt realize a Fordham had set ratešµ. So even with TE itās pretty steep for a schools that not my kids Top choice. But itās such a beautiful campus! Both Lincoln and Rose Hill.

My son has not heard back either from Fordham I looked on the TE site and it shows the Fordham did decline him for TE- but nothing shows on his portal. Too bad
