How do you know you can’t afford it? I’m assuming you or your parents ran the EFC before applying ED? Is your contribution far off from what Fordham offered you?

where do we get merit and scholarship info? i was accepted!
Has anyone actually called or emailed the admissions/fin. aid office at Fordham to ask about when we’ll hear about aid or what it means if your admissions decision did not mention aid? Want to make sure that the stuff on here is reliable.

@usablescreenname when I called to ask if the CSS profile was required with the application, I was told no and that financial aid packages come out “later” but the soonest I could get it in, the better. I think he said spring but I am not sure about that, but I am positive that it doesn’t come out with decisions (because we decided to not even do the CSS Profile until we had our decision based on that phone call).

Thanks @JerseyJoe for clearing up the merit aid timing question!!! Fordham seems tricky with merit aid info (hence all the Fafsa/CSS profile questions earlier in the thread!!)
My daughter received a 4 year full tuition merit award, guaranteed housing (but didn’t say housing costs were covered), and acceptance into their honors college. It was all in her acceptance letter in the portal. A second email with honors college information came today. We did not apply for FA, but did fill out the FAFSA and CSS since Fordham told us they were required for merit.

tons of leadership roles & ec’s, play 2 sports, and I go to a competitive private catholic school
before the admission deadline I visited campus, went to a Ram session, and met my admission contact at a college fair. I don’t know if these helped but it definitely made me love Fordham even more!

Accepted! 3.98 uw gpa, 1460 sat (760 reading, 700 math), a whole lot of extracurriculars like speech and debate and being a camp counselor. Congrats to everyone regardless of admissions!
