Fordham University

Hi

I'm applying to Fordham next fall as a freshman. I was wondering what are my chances of admission with these qualifications??

Graduated Class Valedictorian with a 4.0 GPA (out of 11 students)
1760 SAT score
26 ACT composite score
5 on AP Bio Exam
4 on AP English Lang. and Comp Exam
4 on AP World History Exam
3 on AP Calculus AB Exam
joined lots of clubs in high school, volunteer with Big Brothers Big Sisters, also a Catholic (would that help since it's a Catholic school?)
had to take some time off after graduating cuz my grandma passed away two weeks after graduation
Fordham is also my top choice- applied regular decision

oh yeah, intended major is environmental policy

Here are the average SAT/ACT scores, etc. [Fordham University Admissions: SAT Scores, Financial Aid & More](Fordham University: Acceptance Rate, SAT/ACT Scores, GPA)

I don’t think being Catholic will help you at all, but besides that, I can’t help too much. Congrats on your valedictorian status!

I made it in EA with a 2400 SAT/4.00 gpa & 200+ volunteer hours for engineering and won’t be attending.

Best of luck!

Did you get a reference from your priest, That’s an indirect way that being Catholic could help. Maybe somebody at your church could call? It could open a couple of doors for you. Ignore the fish. The inability to be tactful betrays his lack of education.

If I were to ask for chances, I would want to know the stats of those who made it in. Obviously, needagotocollege has very impressive stats. Valedictorian status and APs are always great. Fordham is a great school, but I applied ED somewhere else. However, it’s very helpful to know that my inability to be tactful betrays my lack of education. Thank you for your input. Please have a great day.
