LETTERS OF RECCOMENDATION:

Only 1 was required I sent in three. In the first one the English Professor stated she has taught for 20 years and of all her students, she has never seen one with a work ethic as strong as mine. The second instructor, a history isntructed, stated I am analytically endowed, intrinsically bright, intellectually superior, etc.. The third professor, a government professor, stated my paper in his class was perhaps one of the best of the semester.

ESSAY:

My essay was good, not great, but above average.

That is weird you haven't gotten a decision yet. I received an email about two weeks ago and submitted my application on the deadline day. Were any materials missing from your application? Maybe that held things up, or maybe they are just not done processing apps! In any case, I am on the fence about your acceptance based on these stats. Your GPA seems a bit low coming from a CC, but I am unsure how selective their transfer process is. I am sorry I cannot be of more help, you may want to try calling the office considering classes begin January 12th there.

Fordham accepts 46 percent of its students. I haven't received a decision yet because admissions requested the majority of the applicants' final semester grades. They did not receive mine until December 17th.

As for the cc grades, it would have been about a 3.8. I missed an A by one point in of my classes. My grandmother was living in my house, on hospice, she passed away in my home due to pancreatic cancer. I don't think I should let Fordham know that for some reason. However; it did have a large effect on my course load, as my whole family was living in my house; it was very distracting and emotional(as life can be).

reading your list of ec's kind of gave me a headache, no need to list every last thing you've done thus far in your life...a big turn off for potential posters in this thread

anyways, your gpa does seem to be kind of low coming from a cc...i don't think i would discount you being accepted, but your chances of getting in are not as high as some others

gl

I don't think it's incredibly difficult to transfer to Fordham. I would definitely give it a shot even with your grades. But I do agree that your grades could be better.

By the way, nobody will take the time to read all your EC's.
