Hi, I got into Fairfield University and Fordham and don't know which is better for business. I like both schools and got a better scholarship for Fairfield. Though, that is not the biggest deal for me. PLEASE HELP! thanks.

Brocha- I see you have posted a few threads comparing Fordham to other schools. You have a number of excellent choices so congratulations. I don’t want to get into comparing the schools to see which is “better”. The truth is that if you do well at any of these places you should have wonderful opportunities in front of you. Nobody but you can decide which of these schools is right for you. I’d encourage you to to go accepted student days at each of your top choices before you make a decision. Some factors to look at are:
-Money - If SUNY-B is a lot cheaper and money is an issue at all, then that should be factored in to any decision.
-Size of school - SUNY-B is not huge, but it is a bigger school for sure
-Location - if you want internships during the school year then NYC or even CT would be better than upstate NY. Do you love NYC? Or would you rather be somewhere quieter?
-Vibe - Although Fairfield and Fordham have many similarities (mid-size Jesuit schools), my S just did not like the feeling at Fairfield and didn’t even apply. I’m sure other people have the opposite reaction and don’t like the city surroundings of Fordham. There is no right or wrong answer, just personal preference.

My S is having a great experience at Fordham, but I’m sure that you can have a great experience at any of these schools. Look at finances, look at where you feel comfortable, think about where you want to live, and make the best choice for YOU and YOUR FAMILY.

The same thing I said about Villanova comparison applies to Fairfield. If you come to Gabelli and work very hard and do very well, there will be handsome rewards for internships and job offers in Manhattan.
