Fordham vs. Northeastern?

I have yet to receive FA information from either, but these are definitely my top two choices.

The thing is, if I go to FCLC (Fordham College at Lincoln Center) I would be commuting; not a problem, seeing as most kids commute, but I'm concerned about getting the 'college experience.' I love the location, I really enjoyed visiting the school, and I know the city already. I would be able to matriculate at both this campus and at Rose Hill, but I don't know how much I would be missing out of attending a school with a campus as well as commuting from home.

If I attend Northeastern, I would be in the Honors program, which includes the big fancy dorms and all that goes with being an honors kid. I liked when I visited it, but Northeastern is definitely much larger and has a less . . . personal, vibe? I don't know. I don't think I would mind that, and I know that Northeastern doesn't exactly have a campus either, but it would be different than commuting, that's for sure.

Based on the above, and the general rankings/academics/campus lives of the two schools, which would you guys say is a 'better' school?

Pitting one school against another is always a vacuous exercise. You have to decide, not this board. You know the differences. You know the good and bad points to both. The cities are different. Your personal gut reaction and objectives. Millions upon millions face this choice this month. At the end of the day, you have to pull the trigger and decide for yourself.

Fordham folks will recommend Fordham. Northeastern folks will recommend Northeastern. Others will have opinions based on THEIR personal criteria/interests. But you are the one who must decide.

I dont do school bashing. I tell folks to pick Fordham over NYU, but that is MY personal choice and what is important to me. It may be someone else’s hell.

I recommend both schools. I favor Fordham. I am biased. You decide.
