I'm going to the admitted students day for both schools this weekend so I guess I'll have a better idea next week, but I was wondering what others were thinking when they chose Fordham.

I didn't get much aid from Penn State, but since I'm an instate student, the cost would be around $28k. Fordham gave me around $20 grand in scholarships so the cost would be around $40k. I'm wondering if its worth the money to attend Fordham. My major as of right now would be psychology

I was thinking it was much cheaper than my state schools–about 1/5 of the cost of UCLA and 1/2 the cost of Cal Poly…

In any case, unless you have a compelling reason to pay an extra 50k for a bachelor’s degree, like just having to be in New York, studying in a special major or program at Fordham (ex. theology, college honors programs, etc.), studying business and planning on internships in Manhattan, or knowing some family member who will guarantee you a job (and a way to pay off debt) after you graduate, I don’t see why you should go to Fordham instead of Big State U.

Unless, that is, your parents or relatives are willing and happy to pick up the tab…
