Fordham vs. UIUC, Nova, BC (business)

Hi. I recently was accepted into CBA. I plan to double major in Finance and International Business. I got a scholarship/grant aid of approximately 35k. I like the fact that Fordham is in the city and that there are good internship opportunities and the fact that it will be a Jesuit education where I can develop as an individual.

I also got into University of Illinois in Urbana Champaign Business Program which is ranked higher than Fordham. Additionally, I was waitlisted at both Villanova's and Boston College's Business Programs.

I am 90% sure I will choose Fordham because of the package they gave me but I am wondering whether UIUC, Nova, or BC might be better choices assuming i am accepted off the waitlist in the near future. (hypothetically)

Please help me in my decision. Any opinions are appreciated. Thanks.

Rankings are often skewed by peer ratings and subjective issues. They are interesting but at the end of the day, not entirely relevant to YOUR experience as a student. You should pick what you can afford and where you think you can excel as a student. CBA is very demanding. The Jesuit education is not something to dismiss or ignore…its a gift you carry with you your entire life. BC is Jesuit. Great business college but in Boston and thus likely they are better connected in Boston, whereas Fordham is better connected in NYC. Your choice. NOVA is in Philly and its not Jesuit, but Augustinian Fathers. Great school. Its a flip of the coin, frankly and what turns you on the most. NOVA and BC have much better sports than Fordham. If that matters.

Fordham is special. They have an MBA campus in Beijing and CBA kids go over to Beijing for a semester abroad, or other locations. CBA is moving to a new campus location in Hughes Hall when its converted very soon. The money is there and pledged. It will have a state of the art trading floor to simulate a WallStreet trading room.

Illinois-Urbana/Champaign is an awesome school…but very big and its a secular state school. Different experience completely.

Best move is to visit the campuses, during Orientation this month if you can and see what the vibe does for you. Fordham will grab you as a vibrant and gorgeous gothic campus. You will be challenged and have wonderful opportunities.

Is it perfect? No. No campus is perfect. Hope that helps.

collegepat wat were ur stats? I am only wondering because all three of those schools interest me
