So I've been in the process of narrowing down my choices for college between two schools, Fordham in NYC and UVM in Burlington Vermont. It really hard for me to choose between the two becuase they're so different :( Anyway I know that undergrad isn't nearly as imp as grad school (i still plan on working really hard in undergrad) and I was wondering if I decided to go to UVM would I have a harder time getting into good grad schools like NYU or Georgetown then if I had gone to Fordham, which is better ranked.

Also my undergrad major is going to be International Studies (Or Global studies in vermont) with a minor, or major in History and Environmental Science.

My grad program would be international relations.

If the 3k + cost of living wouldn’t strain your family I would go with Fordham. Graduate schools however will not care if you went to Fordham or UVM, they will accept you from either one.

I agree with Barrk123 fully. The only exception would be if you have a preference for the environment of UVM. It’s totally different from Fordham, as you know. But with no preference whatsoever, and if the $3K cost is not a problem, I’d go with Fordham in a minute. NYC is the deal breaker, plus smaller classes and a more personal environment.
