Fordham Waitlist 2024

Hi guys! This is my first post so not sure if I’m doing it right…

I was waitlisted at Fordham after being Deferred EA and wondering if anyone knows how the waitlists usually go for Fordham?

I was hoping to find out between May 1st and June 1st but don’t know if they will come out that early… I know we won’t know the chances of being admitted because who knows how many accepted students will enroll at Fordham but anyone know what it’s been like in the past?

Hi !!! Waitlisted here too. I saw someone last year heard back from thee waitlist before May 1 but I’m not sure if that’ll be the case this year. Holding off on my deposit elsewhere until I hear back or the last few days of April if we don’t hear anything. Best of luck to you!

Best of luck to you as well!! Ya I just got off the waitlist at another school in Los Angeles and they told me they wouldn’t be releasing waitlist decisions until after May 1st so I was super surprised… Maybe Fordham will do the same thing. Crossing my fingers.

Has anyone received an email from Fordham saying that “you have not claimed your waitlist spot… if interested please do as we would like to consider you for admissions if a spot comes available”

I know several kids accepted at Fordham who will be turning it down making room for YOU! Good luck!

Does anyone have any idea how coronavirus will affect waitlist admission this year? I keep reading that they’ll be high this year due to uncertainty with international students and other reasons. Considering Fordham is in NYC which is the epicenter of the US outbreak I assume international enrollment will be down but I could be wrong. Has anyone heard anything like this? Just trying to stay optimistic about Fordham…

I have a feeling they will start letting in people from the waitlist shortly after May 1. As for now that is the deposit date. I think they will aggressively accept waitlisted students since it wont be too desirable to live in the congested city with covid susceptibility. My daughter was more keen on Fordham before covid than we are feeling for Fordham now.

I got waitlisted as well! I hope I hear something soon. Fordham is my first choice. Does anyone know when it comes to choosing a campus, would you have a lower chance of getting accepted off the waitlist if you choose Lincoln center vs Rose hill and vice versa? I really wanna go to Lincoln center but I chose all of the campuses because I wanted my chance of being accepted to be higher.

I just got accepted off the waitlist at Rose Hill!

Congrats!! That’s awesome  I hope to be next! Lol

@jakethom1 I heard yesterday too! I was accepted off the waitlist for Gabelli at Rose Hill.

If you don’t mind me asking did you get a scholarship/Merit $$

Hey, I also got off the waitlist on Thursday. I did receive minimal financial aid, but no merit. Hope this helps.

Is it a bad sign if i didn’t receive any information regarding my waitlist status on thursday?

@ConstanceSapi Hii, it isn’t harder to get into Lincoln Center over Rose Hill Campus or vice versa. The only actual differences between both campuses depend on what you’re studying. They offer most of the majors at both campuses except for a few majors. For example, the Lincoln Center has dance and theatre and Rose Hill biological sciences and chemistry.

@Pringle54 Same here. :frowning:

I was accepted yesterday OOS off the waitlist.

My daughter is waitlisted for Fordham. She is active our church youth group and attended Catholic school until 8th grade, but public high school. For those of you who were accepted off of the waitlist, did you reach out again to admissions? I’m worried becaue she wasn’t able to tour Fordham, but she has done 2 different mission trips to NYC. I’m not sure how much Fordham values demonstarted interest, or if she should ask our parish priest or youth group leader to advocate for her (since she didn’t go to a Catholic high school).

I don’t think Fordham University values a lot on demonstrated interest. My DS is accepted on RD but never visited the campus. If Fordham is your daughter’s top choice, maybe just send a quick email to demonstrate continued interest. This year a high chance taken off from waitlist.

Has anyone gotten off the waitlist at Lincoln Center?
