forecasting a HORRIBLE semester

I had the worst first day of classes.

First I had honors brit lit. The teacher gave us a test on the SUMMER READING. She made us also look at a huge list of allusions no one understood. SO BORING!!! I suddenly remembered what I hated about lit. Then, we have to write a 2 page essay about "cultivating a garden" (our minds) for homework.

Then came AP Calc. I had the teacher before. He's a cool guy but he really doesn't teach. He just gave us 2 worksheets today. 1 was easy but 1 forecasted a hard semester. Plus, it's a class of 32, so that sucks and its only 2 juniors (me + 1) My other friend who's a junior wanted to join but I doubt they can fit him.

Then was gym. Ah gym. My schedule had me for health. I went to health and was removed. I got stuck with the stereotypical lesbian gym teacher who is obsessed with volleyball. We just sat there for the whole 80 minutes today though. What a waste...

Finally, was history. This lady gave us a 45 question test on US 1 and I got a 30/45, but she probably won't count it. The only good news with this class is that she cancelled the research paper (15 pager) and instead is giving us a few 2-3 pagers and a poster. She assigned us an essay on the significant US events due tomorrow 2-3 pages and a 2-3 page DBQ on the Great Depression/New Deal due Wednesday. Jeez, I long for the old courses so much.

nothing terribly went wrong for any of my classes.

but in AP english, we started doing multiple choice sections, which is killing everyone now.

The highest in my class is only a 34/50...

I'm forecasting a horrible semester because I think I'm going to be really lazy. I didn't even bother to go to school today. I also gave a huge thought about not going to school tommorow. Ahhhhhh. Need work ethic!

The beginning of this semester will be tough with so much more intense courseloads, much more difficult tests, and anxiety from waiting for college decisions. But the fun will start in March with field trips and exciting events and after AP exams when we will party in our AP courses and have a senior trip.

thank god for trimesters. i am still in second tri, so i don't start new classes for a month, but since all of my classes are ap, my schedule doesn't change. and what's even better is that all i'm going to do is review for exams during third tri!!! which equals little to no work!!!!

I'm a little happy the first chapter in our calc book (Calculus: Graphical, Numerical, Algebraic by Wesley and Foresman) starts with a pre-calc review chapter...section 1.1 = lines lol

i have that book too!!! i love it x10.

yeah it actually does a decent job explaining compared to the crap they called a pre-calc book
