forecasting for Junior Year

This is what I have:

AP English Lit
AP US History
AP Calc
AP Statistics
AP Studio Art
Japanese 3
Orchestra
Physics

Should I give myself a harder load? What do you guys think.

For Senior year, I would have:

AP English Language
AP US Gov
AP Calc II
AP Biology
AP Japanese
Orchestra
Political Action Seminar
Health/PE (required)

Should I be taking more APs or does this look OK? Also, are there any classes i should switch (for example, physics and AP Bio)

You're fine!

If you take more you'll burn out and be miserable.

Be reasonable and have some balance in your studies and EC's.

I don't see the point in taking AP English 2 years in a row. Isn't there only 1 AP English course?

No. Composition. Literature.

yea. i changed it so that you can see what AP test it is meant for. they are different courses though.

You're fine. Really, stop worrying.

Is this block scheduling?

yea - 4 classes a day. I would die if it weren't block :P

Forgot to add, I don't know if this is even important or not, but Im in public school.

Your schedule looks fine. AP Studio Art is fun as hell, though then again, it's hell trying to get enough pieces for a portfolio, which is why my school makes it a two year course, and still usually only one or two kids out of 12 submit a portfolio. And a block of art must be awesome...we're on reg. schedule, so we only get the standard 45 minutes.

Chemistry 1 Honors
Algebra 3 Honors
AP English Language and Composition
AP United States History
AP Art History
Introduction to Philosophy Seminar
Global Issues Seminar
French 4 Honors

Lol...this will be fun

Algebra 3??? Seems unecessary?

Yeah, Algebra 3 doesn't really have a point...my brother's in it right now and all they use is the Pre-Calculus book...unfortunately it's a prerequisite for Pre-Calculus...

junior year can get miserable real fast, homework loads can be massive at times, i would not suggest so many APs. i know it'll be hard to decide what to go with and what not to, but you'll be glad you did urself a favor during second semester of junir year, trust me.

Yeah, 5 APs is a lot. I had many sleepless nights in junior year due to that, especially from AP english where we had papers like once a week at least. Keep the load you have, but try and balance it with some fun ECs, it'll keep you alive, along with lots of coffee.

Lol, thanks! Yea, I was sure to put in tons of fun ECs. Im not a procrastinator, so i know I will be able to balance projects out and stay on top of my work in english and history for sure.

Now calculus....that will be the problem.

calculus=that place where little red horend munkins with tridents poke you endlessly.

If you get either
A)A good teacher
or
B)An easy teacher
or
C)A good and easy teacher (Rare)
calc is easy (at least AB)
I got B). We don't learn much, it's all book work, but he's a cool grader, so the class is easy.

Well, at our school, there is just one Calc teacher. Hes super smart (Harvard Grad) and hes an amazing teacher, but also really tough. So, we'll see how it turns out.

logisticswizard, my calc teacher seemed like C) at the beginning of the year, but lately she's been slacking off, giving us random free periods, taking off the FRQ sections on tests, etc...so it's more like B).

I wish I could have C teacher, but I'll probably get A, which will be good too.
