Foreign language and my chances?

I have 2 years of Spanish, and I have to sign up for classes for my junior year. My school didn't have the middle school option and so when I transferred I was put into the standard level class. It has been agonizing and I can't move up a level despite having all A's every term. I just want to drop it next year and pick up AP economics or another AP class. I want to apply to competitive business schools like Babson, but I don't want to ruin my chances by not taking the 3rd year of Spanish.
What should I do? How much weight does foreign language have in the admissions process?

Take Spanish. FL looks amazing on apps if you stick with it four years because many many students drop out of it by senior year. Most schools require 3+ years anyway. Also, as a BUSINESS major, it’s critical! Communication is key to business right :)

The teacher can’t control the class, so I’m not learning anything. The students literally just text and talk and it’s basically a study hall.

Unless you can get a 5 on the AP and an 800 on the SAT II or close to that live through it. Otherwise they will understand that you are too good for the Spanish class curriculum. take it up at your local CC.

Will not understand*

What if I took Latin instead? Would it meet the 3 year req. or would i have to take Spanish?

you should stick with one language don’t stop spanish and pick up another language. I think you should take 3 years of Spanish. You could take your thir year of spanish online instead of at your school.
