Foreign Language/AP

Will Dartmouth let me out of the foreign language requirement with a good AP score? And what is their policy with giving credit for AP? Thanks for any replies.

The collegeboard website (do a search for Dartmouth, then click on AP or whatever the link is under the Dartmouth section) has a link to Dartmouth's page for their AP policy. If I remember correctly, a 4 on the AP test or a 620-ish on the SATII (though maybe higher on the SATII for Spanish and Chinese) will get you out of the language requirement, a 5 or 690 will get you credits.

In case anyone has this question in the future, let me post what I found:
4 or 5 on Spanish AP/4 on Spanish Literature AP=exemption
5 on Spanish Literature= exemption+Spanish 9 Credit

So Dartmouth does give AP credit, and it seems really generous in comparison to other colleges.
