I'm taking German but they only had it for sophomore through senior year (so I'll have the full three years for college apps) will they take into consideration that I couldn't take four years?

answering for dd

Did you take foreign language in high school? - yes

If so, how many years? 4

How much years of foreign language does the college/university recommend/require you to take in high school? for accepted schools, UC reco 3/ req 2, private U's and LAC's reco 4/req 3

What college/university do you attend? Deciding still, probably Brown

littlebeach3, I really don't know about the specific of your situation, maybe it would be ok if the school does not have it,but can you take German at community college? The 4-year language is for top colleges(HYPS), UC only requires 3 year. So to be on the safe side, d plans to take 4-year just in case she does not apply to UC only. However, she also likes language a lot.

OMG I wanted to take German but I only have Spanish, French, Japanese and sign language in my school!!!!!!!!! So I ended up in Spanish because theres so many mexicans here it was the best benefit.
