Foreign Language in High School (Dilemma!)

ok ok sorry for asking again... but this time i need to be sure

i am taking the following courses right now

ap micro
ap lit.
ap environmental
spanish IV
ap us government
ap physics b
ap calculus b

However, I don't want to continue with Spanish IV since I'm not too interested in it and I want to take AP Psychology instead.

most colleges seem to be looking at a minimum of 3 years of language.
I plan to apply to stanford scea and some other upper tier colleges.

the scheduling allows for no other possibilities. either i take spanish, or i take ap psych

what do you guys recommend? what would you do?

i'm really stuck :(

thanks a bunch <3

Take Spanish IV. It'll look better.

Yeah, although psych is an AP class, it's known for being one of the easier APs (at my school, at least), and colleges generally really want to see those four years of foreign language. I'd definitely recommend sticking with Spanish IV.

thanks. you guys are right.

i feel bad however

the psych teacher is reallllllly cool and a lot of my friends are in that class. sigh

Take Psych. One, it'll interest you more (friends and cool teacher), and two, hell, it's another AP.

i promise spanish will look better.

stay in spanish. i had to choose french IV over ap art history this year and i'm certain i've made the right choice. AP Psych isn't a terrilby competitive class (relative to the other AP's) and advanced study in foreign lang is very important.
