is the UCB requirement 2 years of the same foreign language or 3? I took spanish 1 in middle school, and spanish 2 as a freshman in hs. Will this satisify the requirement? Also, does it matter what grade we got (above an F)?

^^ well D's and F's doesn't count for credit need to pass with a C or higher

do you know if its two years or three?

Looks like 3.

Degree Requirement-Foreign Language Requirement

But, IGETC will satisfy it. The second semester of a language in college will satisfy it.

I knew it. My counselors are idiots.

I think the IGETC requirement is the second year of high school work in a foreign language, but it might in fact be that you can get certified for completing a second year high school course. Still time to brush up on your Spanish, though, and take a course next semester. (;

My counselor said we need only one semester of foreign language to transfer to a UC. Is that true?

Why do you blame your counselor?

Blame yourself for no researching properly.

Right, it was my fault to trust the counselors. They only do this for a living.

@thedude:

I think that you only need one semester for IGETC.

Thank god. Thanks for the info!
