<p>I'm planning to take Chinese as my foreign language requirement for Revelle this fall (im a freshie!) but the Chinese studies doesn't have like 1A/1AX, 1B/1BX... like for LIFR and other ones. When I look under Linguistics, there is no chinese. So I'm not sure whether I could take it to fulfill the language requirement. Thanks so much!</p>
<p>a few languages aren’t part of the linguistics department and function as stand-alone departments. however, they can still be used to fulfill the language requirement.</p>
