foreign language placement test

It is mandatory for every student of SAS to take a foreign language placement test.

What happens if I want to take a new language? I took 4 years of Spanish and a year of French in high school and I disliked both of them. Sadly those were the only two languages offered. I was thinking of taking Italian or Latin classes starting freshman year...haven't decided yet. So, what should I do for the placement exams?

For the placement exam, take the Spanish one, answer one question and hand in the test. That’s it. I say Spanish since you’ll be in a large lecture hall so you won’t feel too awkward handing in the test. Trust me, you won’t be the only one. When I took my test, there were A LOT of kids who answered the first question and just handed in the exam and left (it’s the last exam of the day)

You don’t need to take a placement test for a new language that you want to learn. Just sign up for the course during registration.

Thank you :]

This is completely off topic…I didn’t want to start another thread, but is there wireless connection available in freshman dorms?

My freshman dorm (Metzger on Busch) didn’t have wireless connection in the room. You had to go to lounge for wireless. You needed an Ethernet cable.

But, where I live now I was able to get wireless in my room. Get an Ethernet cable just in case.
