Foreign Language Placement Test?

Hello everyone! So I just finished my Foreign Language Placement Test for Spanish and I got a 391 on it and placed into Spanish Semester 3. Is that good or bad? Sorry, I just have no idea what it means so if anyone could give me some insight on that, it would be much obliged. :) Have a lovely day!

It sounds like you tested out of the first “two years” Spanish.

I believe if you want to test out of further years you need to take some sort of placement exam during Orientation. Someone please correct me if i am wrong. It has been awhile since my sons did this.

I think they invite everyone who scored about 4–, I think it’s 417, to take another placement test during Welcome Week which can place you out of the language requirement.

The online test can only place you up to level 3 of a language. You can request to take an exam in person during welcome week that may place you into a higher level (essentially fulfilling the language requirement).
