So I just enrolled in the business school at rutgers and got an email from the school of arts and science honors program. In the email, it states that all RBS who are in the honors program must take a foreign language placement test. Does this mean that I'm required to take a foreign language class my first semester in Rutgers?? And, since I have not taken Spanish since my 2nd year at high school (and honestly don't remember much), would it matter if I do horribly on the placement exam? Do I basically just get put in the easiest Spanish class??

“The testing day ends at about 2:00 pm, or 3:00 pm, if you stay for the foreign language testing. Foreign language placement testing is highly recommended; it is mandatory, if you are part of the SAS Honors Program, as said program has a foreign language requirement.”

RBS students don’t have to take a foreign language (see SAS honors note above). The reason they advise you to take the language placement test is so that if you do decide to take a language, you will have the placement test results already. Otherwise, you would have to wait to take a future placement test (they are only given certain times of the year), and so could not schedule your language course immediately.

But my question is, do Rutgers business school students WHO ARE IN the SAS honors program have to take a foreign language class?
