Hello, I'm a rising sophomore and I have already turned in my schedule for next year. I'm currently signed up for:

Honors english 2
Honors pre calculus
Honors civics
Honors biology
Honors chem
Ap psych
Orchestra fall
Orchestra spring

I have not taken a foreign language yet and I know some colleges require 3 or 4 years of the same language. Can I take latin 1 junior year and latin 2 & 3 senior year? Will it count as 3 years cause I'm taking 3 Latin courses? Should I change my schedule to fit in latin 1 sophomore year?

Take Latin I at the local cc this summer.
It may be a 2 summer semester class to get credit for a full year of Latin, depends on the cc.
Check with gc that the fl credit will transfer to your hs transcript.
You may need to get permission with a form.
My hs required that a VP sign a form so we could enroll at the local cc.
Take Latin II junior year.
Take Latin III senior year.
Colleges want 3+full years of language.

I have the same problem here. I did two years of Spanish in middle school and I’m still taking Spanish as a freshman. I kinda wanna stop taking it next year because it takes up a lot of time. Apart from English, I’m fluent in Chinese as well but I’ve never taken any courses. Would that possibly cover the 3+ year foreign language requirement?
