My son(s) did spanish1, spanish2, and spanish3, but each one is 1 semester (their school runs in the semester) but the course workload and equipment to a full year of other schools. For example, even AP classes are only 1 semester. In UC or Cal State applications, should we put a year or semester? If we say semester they will have only 1.5 years of Spanish but in reality, they have the equivalent of 3 years. - Any help on how to approach this.
PS: We are out of state.
The UC’s and CSU’s are interested in the level attained which would be Spanish 3 which equals 3 years of a foreign language.
