Foreign language question

I’m an incoming CAS transfer who has never taken a college foreign language class. Furthermore, I only vaguely remember taking Spanish years ago in the 9th grade and it wasn’t a good experience. I don’t see myself traveling and have no interest in other languages. With all that in mind, what is the easiest foreign language class? I guessing it’s going to be either Spanish or Latin and I’m leaning towards Latin because it’s a lot closer to English, you don’t have to speak it, and it might improve my atrocious spelling. So, is Latin the easiest, or do you very bright professional students have another suggestion. Thanks.

so, ok, i'm a uvaparent, not student, but as a Latin student of 4 years(quite some time ago) i think the answer is spanish, hands down. see what others say. good luck as a lucky one at one of the most awesome places!

You may want to go to the Summer Language Institute in order to fullfill the requirement quickly.
