Foreign Language Question

Hey guys. Im gonna be a junior transfering to UT this fall. I'm going into the Radio-TV-Film program and being a part of the communications department, I am required, like a lot of you, to take 4 semesters of a foreign language. My question to all forum goers is what is your opinion of whats the easiest language course to take? Being a junior, I am coming to the end of my college career and knowing I still have 4 semesters of a foreign language to take is a little daunting. I know spanish is the most common, which brings the idea that you could probably get the most help with spanish. But, I just wanted to know about any other languages that might fall into the "easier" catagory. My sister took Italian at Baylor, so I was also wondering if anybody here has taken Italian just to gauge what you guys thought about it. Thanks and any help would be greatly appreciated.

I can tell you which ones are not the easiest: Russian and Arabic.

I have heard that generally speaking it is easy for an English speaker to learn German. I think Spanish is also quite easy and probably more useful. I think these two may be the easiest.

You might find this site interesting. It ranks languages according to how easy they are for an English speaker to learn.
