<p>Hi, so here's my situation. I am currently a sophomore in high school and not taking a foreign language class. This is because last year I took and passed Italian 2. My counselor told me when I was choosing classes for my sophomore year that I didn't need to move on to Italian 3 because Italian 2 counts as 2 years (high school graduation requirement) and that many colleges only require 2 years of a foreign language. This confuses me because I only took one full year of a foreign language in high school but it counts as two? Any help would be great, thanks.</p>
