I apologize if this question has been asked before. I am a little confused with the college recommendations for foreign language. Some schools for instance recommend 4 years of foreign language. I took Spanish 4 in Junior year and do not plan to take Spanish 5 in Senior year. Have I met the “4 year” recommendation?
Thanks in advance for any help anyone can give me.
Many, many times.
But we still like to help.
For the vast majority of colleges, yes. HS level completed is equivalent to HS years studied. I do wish colleges would be more explicit about this topic on their websites. Claremont McKenna is one that does spell it out:

If you still have doubts, ask the colleges in which you are interested.
Thank you so much for the prompt reply. It is greatly appreciated. Foreign language is not my best subject and I want to do a subject (Psychology AP) which I am genuinely interested instead.
