So I know that at ERC you have a foreign language requirement but I heard that if you took three years of a language in high school you only need to take one more year...is this true?

Btw they weren't AP classes they were regular Spanish classes.

I think foreign language requirements are only one year? Correct me if I’m wrong, but that’s how it is at Muir.

Foreign language requirements are different for every college.

@OP, what you will do is take the language placement test when it gets closer to registration time. Hopefully with all of your Spanish background you will place into Spanish 1D, the fourth level course. In that case, that will be the only language course you have to take.
Basically you need a total of four quarters of a language but you can pass out of the earlier levels.

Really?..idk haha I’m clueless but do you get exempt from taking a foreign language if you took it in high school. I’m only asking because I know UCLA does that.

You don’t get exempt until you pass the language placement test. They have to make sure you actually learned it hahaha.

Great haha then I guess I’m gonna fail the placement test…foreign language was never my area of expertise haha
